Well, as we all know by now the DOW hit the magical 10,000 mark on Wednesday and topped out Thursday at 10,062. Today it is forming a market top candlestick pattern - Hanging Man This may very well be the top based on my Elliott wave software. On a daily scale it shows we reached the possible end of a minor and major a 5 wave up pattern. That would be the 5 wave up starting at the March market low. On the weekly chart the EW software thinks we are in a 5 wave down pattern and have completed the corrective wave 4. While the monthly chart also has the DOW in a 5 down pattern and in an incomplete wave 4 correction. Elliott Wave is just another Technical indicator. It is right more than it is wrong but it just an indicator. You an I can use it as a guide but the final decision has to be our own based on a visual inspection of the charts. Just remember, NOBODY is good enough to call the exact market bottom or market top. That is until after it happens and then all the "GURU" appear on TV telling us they called it to the penny. Well, this "GURU" is not telling you it is a top. I'm just telling you to be aware that it "might" be. So tighten your stops and get ready for a pullback. |

Trading for Profits Bootcamp

Summary:
